Kalapathar Everest Base Camp - EverestThis is one of the classic and most rewarding treks on the western hills in Nepal offering grand view of the three highest 8000m mountain range Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Dhaulagiri I (8167m) and Mt. Manaslu (8163m) including arrays of over 6000m snow capped peaks, The trail follows the river Marshyangdi all the way to its source, the glacial lake in Manang, through the rural farm villages and terraced farm fields from the sub-tropic climate to the arctic landscape and through the rain forest to the alpine woodland.

Treks follows the Yak country and finally over to the Thorung La (5416m) pass with amazing views of the surrounding landscapes and magnificent peaks, After the strenuous walk up to the top of Thornag La we reach the highest point of this trek. The trail descends most of the way to Pokhara passing throught the holy site of Muktinath. Muktinath is one of the sources of the Kali Gandaki River. Through the deepest gorge of Kali Gandaki River Valley and passing the charming Villages of Jomsom & Fly out. we end our trek at Pokhara one of the most scenic places on this planet. The dramatic deep valleys and mountain scenery is the reason for this trek, and the experience is truly awe-inspiring.

A moderate to challenging trek which sometime requires to walk on the steep up and down mountain path can be done anytime of the year expect monsoon severe winter when the Thorung La Pass blocked by snow.

Itinerary

Day 1 Kathmandu - Besi Sahar - Bhulbule Climbing Thorunglapass
Early morning private transport from Kathmandu to Besi Sahar. During the drive we will already have stunning views on the mighty Himalaya massifs which rise above 8000m, like Manaslu, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. We gentle trek start from Besi Sahar. Over night at Bhulbule. (Day of Preparation for Yoga trek)

Day 2 Bhulbule - Jagat
Today the trail drops steeply to Syange at 1070m from Bahundanda crossing the Marshyangdi River on a suspension bridge. We then follow the river to the stone village of Jagat or before climbing through forest to Chyamje at 1400m.

Day 3 Jagat - TalPisang Manang Desert Mountain
The day begins with the rocky trail following the Marshyangdi Rivers steadily uphill to Tal at 1675m, the first village in the Manang district. We make a trailverse crossing a wide, flat valley. The trail then climbs a stone stairway to 1860m till another stairway. The journey continues making up and down to Dharapani at 1890m. There we find a stone entrance chorten typical of the Tibetan influenced villages from here northwards. We then visit the Bagarchhap at 2160m that offers the typical flat roofed stone houses of local Tibetans design although the village which is still in the transition Zone before the dry highlands.

Day 4 Tal - Dharapani
The trail steep climbs to Dharapani at 2220m, & then continues through forest. Desert Rocky Mountain Circuit

Day 5 Dharapani - Chame
With often rough and rocky, the trail climbs to Tyanja at 2360m, & then continues through forest, but near the river, to Kopar at 2590m. As we reach the Chame, the headquarters of the Manang district, we are rewarded by the fine views of Annapurna II as you approach Chame & two small hot springs by the town.

Day 6 Chame - Pisang
The day starts through deep forest in a steep and narrow valley, crosses a river on a long bridge at 2910m. We then cross another bridge at 3040m, from there the view of the soaring Paungda Danda rock face really begins to appear. From there the trail joins to climb to Pisang, which sprawls between 3200m & 3300m.

Day 7 Pisang - Manang
Annapurna Circuit Himchuli - MuktinathToday we continue through the drier upper part of the Manang district, cut off from the full effect of the monsoon by the Anapurna Range. People of this region, herd yaks & raise crops for part of the year besides, they also continue to enjoy special trading rights gained way back in 1784.

Leaving Pisang, we have an alternate trails north and south of the Marshyangdi River which meet up again at Mungji. The southern route by Hongde, with its airstrip, at 3325m involves less climbing than the northern route via Ghyaru, though there are better views on the trail that follows the northern bank of the river. From Mungji, the trail continues past the picturesque but partially hidden village of Bryanga at 3475m to nearby Manang at 3500m.

Day 8 Manang (Rest day)
Today we spend a day acclimatizing in Manang. Doing Yoga at Manang Dumre BashisaharThe whole day we spend by doing some fine day walks and over viewing the magnificent views around the village & the day time is best to gain altitude. At the end of the day, we return back to our accommodation & have a night rest.

Day 9 Manang - Yak Kharka
Today we leave Manang, & the trail makes an ascent of nearly 2000m to the Thorung La pass. We make the climb steadily through Tenki, leaving the Marshyangdi Valley. Continuing along the Jarsang Khola Valley, we reach Ledar at 4250m, there we see the vegetations steadily more sparse. Overnight either in Ledar or Yak Kharka.


Day 10 Yak Kharka - Thorung Phedi (4420m)
The trail descends to cross the river at 4310m we then climb up to Phedi at 4420m. At High Camp on the elevation of 4600m, we can recently found some good Guesthouses built. Your overnight stay will be there. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 11 Thorung Phedi - Thorung La (5416m) - Muktinath
Thorongla Mountain PassThe journey from Phedi “foot of the hill” or at the foot to the 5416m Thorung La pass, begins the day. We then make the climb steeply that is regularly used and easy to follow. However, the problem may arise due to the altitude and snow. It often causes terrible problem to cross the pass if it is covered by snow. About four hours climb up to the pass marked by the chortens & prayer flags. As you reach the top, you are rewarded by the magnificent view from the top.

Day 12 Muktinath - Jomsom
This is an easy day walking back to Jomsom following a different route, but can be tedious if we are unlucky to get the strong winds. From Muktinath to Jomsom, you will see the people of Mustang, a restricted area to the north, who come to sell handicrafts to pilgrims. Among their merchandise is the highly-revered mollusk fossil called shaligram. We will pass some ancient caves and see the impressive White Mountain that is the Dhaulagiri. We also transit at the significant town of Kagbeni, which is at a junction of 2 rivers and the north-south and east-west trading routes. Overnight at guest house.Sky Mountain Thorong Phedi

Day 13 Jomsom - Pokhara
Fly to Pokhara and spend the day at leisure, relaxing, and maybe enjoying enjoy the sightseeing around Pokhara valley. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14 Pokhara Retreat Center
Day of Complete Relaxation at the Yoga Retreat Center.

The final Day of the program are spent at Yoga Retreat Center to heal any weary muscles or joints, as well as a period of relaxation after trekking. The following facilities and offerings are available to calm the body and mind:
